Part of what I love about the girls' names is that they were both popular 100 years ago and many people with those names are now great-grandmas. Both names evoke a vision for me of sweet old ladies rocking away together on a porch. I pray Ella and Sadie will live meaningful lives full of love and will be enjoying each other on a front porch somewhere many years from now.

Shenandoah Crossing














We went on a really fun weekend trip last weekend to a tiny town in the Shenandoah Valley in Virginia. I REALLY love the Blue Ridge Mountains. We were surrounded by them when we lived at Va Tech and it's really one of my favorite areas of the country. We stayed at a little timeshare and there were a couple unpleasant parts of that but I'll focus on the positive :-)

She loved throwing pennies in the fountain and was actually pretty good!

    I feel bad agreeing with people that she really is SO cute. I wish you guys could see her in person. She is SO funny and adding more amusing words to her repertoire all the time. (yesterday she started calling me "momo" and throws her head back and laughs every time she says it.)
