Part of what I love about the girls' names is that they were both popular 100 years ago and many people with those names are now great-grandmas. Both names evoke a vision for me of sweet old ladies rocking away together on a porch. I pray Ella and Sadie will live meaningful lives full of love and will be enjoying each other on a front porch somewhere many years from now.

First grade field trip!

Ella's class went to a local farm and I got to chaperone! It was a farm I'd never been to and it was really beautiful. The kids got to do and see a lot!
We fed goats

Most of "my" group :-) they were really respectful and well behaved!
Hayride that went through the creek!
The "snake tree" really had a huge black snake hanging in it when we ride by!
The kids got to learn all about seeds and plant their own plants to take home. Really fun trip :-)
