Part of what I love about the girls' names is that they were both popular 100 years ago and many people with those names are now great-grandmas. Both names evoke a vision for me of sweet old ladies rocking away together on a porch. I pray Ella and Sadie will live meaningful lives full of love and will be enjoying each other on a front porch somewhere many years from now.

Game Girl

Ella is REALLY into games right now. She likes
Uno Moo
Memory (we have many types)
regular Uno
Candy Land
Chutes and Ladders
Hullabaloo
and a few others

The other day she wanted me to close my eyes while she laid out the memory cards and when i opened them this what she made.

and "L" or a "7," she said it could be both :-) I was shocked that she was thinking out of "the box" quite literally! I've never laid the cards out in any way besides neat little rows. I LOVE seeing how she really is her own little person with quite unique thoughts (and perhaps not as like me as I'd thought!).
