Part of what I love about the girls' names is that they were both popular 100 years ago and many people with those names are now great-grandmas. Both names evoke a vision for me of sweet old ladies rocking away together on a porch. I pray Ella and Sadie will live meaningful lives full of love and will be enjoying each other on a front porch somewhere many years from now.

Friendly Girl

Ella is a very social child. I've been helping in the Nursery at a Women's Bible Study for a few weeks. Yesterday the lady who was in the Toddler room watching Ella said she was a "sweetheart," that she played so well the whole time and that when other kids pushed her out of the way or took toys from her, she just walked away and did something else. I'm sure she'll learn to stand up for herself when necessary but for now, it's really nice that she doesn't have constant conflict with other little 1 year olds.
