Part of what I love about the girls' names is that they were both popular 100 years ago and many people with those names are now great-grandmas. Both names evoke a vision for me of sweet old ladies rocking away together on a porch. I pray Ella and Sadie will live meaningful lives full of love and will be enjoying each other on a front porch somewhere many years from now.

Ella and Lexi

Ella has a friend named Lexi Smithson. They play together a lot and are SO cute together. Lexi was on vacation for over 2 weeks and EVERY day Ella looked at me with sad eyes and said "Lexi?" when I told her what we were doing that day. I had to tell her "no, lexi won't be there today." It was the saddest thing ever! I don't know what I'll do if she actually has a friend who moves away! Anyway, Lexi is back and they're back to being adorable together.

    You know... what you don't see would be the next picture of the two by the fishtank... on the ground after they both toppled over. cute, though. :)
