I love food

So, Chris thinks it's hilarious that though I generally love food (eating it, watching TV shows about it, cooking it, shopping for it) this has been magnified in this pregnancy. I have come to really appreciate what we now call "food porn." At work a few months ago I found myself having a spare minute and looking up pictures of food online. I'm watching the Food Network more than ever and subscribed to Food Network Magazine (mostly for the pictures!). It makes me very happy :-) Anyway, here are a few food pics of my own from a recent AMAZING meal at a restaurant in the city. Mmmmm....

Prepare for cuteness

Oh. My. Gosh. Somehow, I am old enough and have a child who is old enough to have class pictures. How did this happen? These are the cutest things I've ever seen. Not only because they're adorable pictures but because I feel like I'm the mom of a baby pretending to be mom of a school-age kid. We're SO not there yet but her preschool thinks we are I guess! I love these. Check out her little clasped hands and slightly tilted head-so "big girl" of her!

She's got skills

On her birthday, Ella came and asked me if we could "please go on a walk outside to see the beautiful trees". She never asks to do that (and usually whines if I suggest it) so I was happy to take her. I also decided to take the camera and let her take some pictures while we walked (we only made it about a block but that's ok). I was SO impressed with the results! Very artistic. I loved one of them so much it inspired me to change my whole blog layout to incorporate it. So, here are the completely unmodified pictures of my future artiste!
