Part of what I love about the girls' names is that they were both popular 100 years ago and many people with those names are now great-grandmas. Both names evoke a vision for me of sweet old ladies rocking away together on a porch. I pray Ella and Sadie will live meaningful lives full of love and will be enjoying each other on a front porch somewhere many years from now.

3 year check up

On Friday Ella had her 3year check up. It was great-no blood work, no shots = no freaking out! The shocking part is that my little peanut is no longer a peanut. She's always been around 30-40th percentile in height and weight and somehow....drum rolls please....she's now 75th in both!! I know she gets the height from her dad but I have no idea how she eats enough to keep up in the weight category! She has quite the efficient metabolism. Anyway, here's a pic of her checking out her paper dress and her actual stats :-)

    I swear, she has the world's best metabolism! Bean eats like a horse and weighs all of 30 pounds :) Of course, Ella has like 3 inches on her too :)
