What Ella's up to

Ella's first year in Elementary School has started off well!  She's excited to go to school everyday, making friends, getting lots of practice with writing and reading, and from what we hear, behaving well in school too.  She has a friend named Annaliz who is her "bus buddy" and lives down the street from us.  She also seems to have an admirer at school named Ahmad who gets in trouble all the time for following her around :-)  I found this in her room and it seems like pretty good evidence that she's enjoying herself!

Ella has always been very creative and artistic and seems to be growing into that even more lately.  Instead of begging for screen time (her main vice, well, that and peanut butter crackers) when she gets home she's been creating all kinds of things with crayons, markers, scissors, toilet paper rolls, string and whatever else she can find.  The other week during our small group she created a scavenger hunt all by herself!

 

She made 3 copies of the map-I was really impressed that she thought that through and realized for different people to "play" they'd need their own maps.

These were the clues we found hidden after following the map.

And this was the treasure we found hidden on the playset outside!

She's also just been drawing a lot and I'm enjoying her creations so much!

Excited to see this little girl blossom!
