Part of what I love about the girls' names is that they were both popular 100 years ago and many people with those names are now great-grandmas. Both names evoke a vision for me of sweet old ladies rocking away together on a porch. I pray Ella and Sadie will live meaningful lives full of love and will be enjoying each other on a front porch somewhere many years from now.

Mom's everywhere will be grateful!!
I made a FABULOUS discovery today. So, here's the story. We needed milk and a few other things and I had time so I got brave and decided to take Ella to the grocery store with me. For at least a year now I've been doing most of my grocery shopping at night when Ella can stay home with Chris. She gets bored and it's just not worth the potential of a breakdown or chasing her through the aisles. However, this has been forever changed. Our lovely neighborhood Safeway has replaced their old, rickety, car-shaped, kid-carts for THESE. They're new and shiny and HAVE TVs IN THEM!!!! I was able, at a very user-friendly kiosk, to choose a cartoon (we went for The Backyardigans) and roll away with a VERY happy child. It was a fabulous shopping experience. Thanks Safeway! If there was every any doubt about where I'd shop, they totally just won my vote.

ReplyDeleteThat is just too cool! I just found your blog after about 2 years. :) I know I used to have it, but somehow lost it and then when I tried to link to it via a comment you left, I couldn't view it, so figured maybe you had restricted your blog. Anyway, Ana sent me the link and so I've been getting a bit caught up. I take Holly grocery shopping with me every Saturday am and Mikey stays home with Mike. It's actually really fun. Holly is fun to shop with, and Mike loves time with Mikey. Talk about win-win!
