Part of what I love about the girls' names is that they were both popular 100 years ago and many people with those names are now great-grandmas. Both names evoke a vision for me of sweet old ladies rocking away together on a porch. I pray Ella and Sadie will live meaningful lives full of love and will be enjoying each other on a front porch somewhere many years from now.

Veggie Tales Live!

For part of Ella's birthday gift, we took her to see Veggie Tales Live. We have a bunch of the videos and she's a pretty big fan and seemed old enough to go to a real "show." Thankfully, we were right! The show was awesome (like a rock concert for preschoolers) and Ella was fascinated for the entire two hours! Such a fun trip.

curious, waiting for the show to start

Bob the Tomato & Larry the Cucumber!

Lots of dancing, singing, strobe lights, costume changes, and even a smoke machine!

Getting directions for how to do the "Boyz in the Sink" dance

  1. So glad you went! Wasn't it awesome??

I love seeing the looks on the kids faces when they see the show and really get into it!

We've actually taken the kids to quite a few shows; Veggie Tales, Sesame Street, etc. They both have enjoyed them, even Morgan at her young age.

    BTW, Happy Birthday Ella!
