Part of what I love about the girls' names is that they were both popular 100 years ago and many people with those names are now great-grandmas. Both names evoke a vision for me of sweet old ladies rocking away together on a porch. I pray Ella and Sadie will live meaningful lives full of love and will be enjoying each other on a front porch somewhere many years from now.

If only I could catch real smiles like this all the time! She is such a pretty little girl!!

Ella climbed up on this rock outside the Mall, steadied herself and then said something she's never said before, "Ok mom, wanna take my picture?"

If "whining" had a picture next to it in the dictionary, this would be it.

Ella's new favorite bath-time pasttime, washing the walls. Works for me.

    Christopher's favorite bathroom activity lately is washing the floor with a wet towel. He asks, "Mom, is it time to clean the bathroom again? I want to wash the floor!"

    Can they be this excited about cleaning FOREVER?!
